It’s not exactly the best way to promote your new single, but in an ironic twist last night, Robbie Williams, currently promoting his new single ‘Bodies’, left one body lying under the wheels of his car, after an accident outside the X-Factor studios.
William’s, who had performed on the live results show, his first live performance in the UK for 3 years, was leaving Wembley’s Fountain Studios in his chauffeur driven Chrysler when the photographer accidentally got in the way of the car wheels and was knocked down as the driver was reversing.
Onlookers said that Williams jumped out of the car and was crying whilst security guards rushed to free the photographer from under the car. The snapper, known only as Steven, was later taken to hospital whilst Robbie and his crew waited for another car to take them from the studios. Police report that the snapper received only minor injuries and is doing fine.
Robbie’s performance on the X-Factor was a triumphant return with him thanking the audience over and over for their support, but the startled wide-eyed look in his eyes has led fans to worry after his recent admission that perscription painkillers nearly killed him.
Let’s hope Robbie has conquered his demons, because ‘Bodies’ is a brilliant tune.
