Could this be the cover that drove Winona to retail cleptomania, after catching sight of herself dressed as a young Amish boy on the cover of Seventeen magazine waaaaaaayyyy back in 1990? Tis all kinds of wrong and if anyone actually emulated this look, destroy all photographic evidence now. You don’t want that turning up in a time capsule of your shitty depressive and mostly drunken life 50 years from now do you.

But superceding Winona’s wardrobe of fugness is the all-American pride jumper and Stars and Stripes earrings (a cold shiver just went down my spine…then came back and slapped my eyes) worn by Cameron Diaz, also on Seventeen magazine in 1990 (the year that fashion seems to have come from a skip marked ‘movie costume rejects’), and notice her face is also a work of MS Corel-Draw art (pre-photoshop magic) because even in those early days, she still resembled a pizza. And notice how she also looks like she has a personality in this shot….
