What do you get when you stick a bunch of ex-reality TV stars together?
A bunch of ex-reality TV stars touring the UK in 2011, performing songs from GLEE, that’s what!
Meet G*MANIA (nothing to do with comeback kid Peter Andre‘s ‘Insania’) – a group of singers, who between them, share appearances on X Factor, Grease is the Word, Britain’s Got Talent, Pop Idol and Last choir Standing.
Oh hello Rikki Loney (he with the funny eyebrow from X Factor), Stacey McClean (she performed for Kylie and Dannii on X Fac), Emma Beard (ex-girl band member who made it to third place in the battle to be Paris Hilton‘s Brit BF) Kavanah (the cute one on Grease is the Word we all fancied), Shaun Smith ( the cute one on BGT we all fancied) and Andy Scott-Lee ( the poor guy who married Michelle Heaton) – who are all taking part in an all singing all dancing production featuring the smash hits from GLEE, as a tribute to the cult TV show.
But before they hit the road; the gang are attempting to be the first reality TV show rejects to knock the X Factor winner off the christmas number one spot (oh come on, we all know Simon‘s paid for whoever it is to be there and assault our ears while we wretch on brussel sprouts), by releasing their very own version of Don’t Stop Believing featuring Peter Dickson (the voiceover dude from the X Factor). No, really.
All proceeds from the single’s release will go to the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice and will be available to download from December 12 on iTunes and pre-order from Play.com.
So here, watch the official video below (which features a very cold looking Shaun Smith…we’d gladly warm him up)…and some snow…and christmas jumpers…and a bobble hat.
