I’m not a fan of obnoxiously large logo’s on sunglasses (think Versace, Gucci, Valentino); it’s just embossed bling on the temples that scream how much you paid for your shades (who cares) or rather, how little you paid for them (faux..and yes, we can tell).
So if like me, you prefer something a little less ‘in yer face’ and more understated like Oliver Peoples, RayBan or Paul Smith; then check out the latest range of unisex customisable glasses from Prada Private, called ‘Made in Prada’. I HEART.
Hailed as a ‘new engineering mechanism that unites the technical qualities of design with modern and personal style’; the glasses feature removable arms that can be personalised in multiple ways by plugging two symbol inserts into each arm of the frame.
You can then flaunt your flair for design and insert numbers, letters, hearts, stars, skulls and other symbols into the arms, for that personal touch. Go on, admit it, you’ve always wanted your initials wrapped around the side of your head. #Ego
The glasses come in black, white and tortoiseshell and will be available from December 2 exclusively at Sunglass Hut in the USA and online at Sunglasshut.com.
But if you fancy playing with them before you buy, they will also be on sale in Prada boutiques in Milan, London, Rome, Paris and New York.
These shades might be so cool, it’s actually ok to wear them indoors.
