Lady Gaga is giving up Twitter and Facebook. WTF?!
But before you run to tweet her ‘why, Gags, why?’ , it’s only a temporary thing and is all in a good cause, for charity, like.
Gags is among a host of slebs, including Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian’s junk trunk, Justin’s snake and Usher’s dancin’ feet, who are going Twitter cold turkey and ignoring their FB pokes, in order to raise money for the Keep a Child Alive charity.
Gaga, who has more than seven million Twitter followers and nearly 24 million Facebook fans has agreed to go silent on the social networking sites, until the charity raises $1million; all part of the “Digital Life Sacrifice” campaign, which also supports World AIDS Day on December 1st.
Other stars including Jennifer Hudson and Ryan Seacrest, along with Gags, will only resume their online presence when the charity reaches its goal; and participating slebs have already video taped their “last tweet and testament.”
The videos will form part of the ad campaign, which features stars lying in coffins as part of a “digital death.” (See what they did there).
