No, actually, everyone needs to know how to catch more filmed content on more platforms. In normal parlance, that means watching more sh*t on more kinds of sh*t, if you catch my drift.
That’s why, and I wouldn’t normally crow about stuff like this, LoveFilm is making a whole mess of titles available to stream online in the UK. So we can’t get Hulu or other services unless we’re supersneaky, LoveFilm is taking us back to the future by streaming stuff to PS3. If you’re already signed up to their £5.99 service, then this is a free addition. All you have to do is wait for it to go live then activate your existing account through the PS3. If you’re just on a game package or on a lower priced thing, you’ll need to upgrade. Alas, LoveFilm doesn’t know exactly when this will happen, but…. it’s coming. Get ready. (They probably do know, they just don’t want to say.)
We all know that streaming is the Video On Demand of the future, but it is happening, sort of, now. That means no more DVDs, DVDs to return, etc. It’s better for storage, the environment and for movielovers because, wah-la, you get more choice of movies more often on more of the viewing stuff you own already.
Money-saving & cool; frankly, this is the start of better viewing for more people, and it helps filmmakers too: you can see their stuff easier, faster and cheaper.
Public service announcement over.
